travels
By Danica on October 14th, 2006We’re in Maine.
Jameson did very well on his first roadtrip. We did half of the trip last night, crashed at a hotel, and then finished off today. Jameson slept so well in the car, but this is the best part: last night, he fell asleep at 11, and didn’t wake until 5am — and then slept again until 9!! Amazing!
The drive was fabulous. Autumn is the perfect season for a trip through Vermont’s mountains. The sun was shining, the sky was clear and blue, and the mountains were covered with fall-colored trees.
This evening Jameson met three of his relatives — a Nana who’s thrilled to be alive to meet him, an aunt who patiently survived a spit-up episode of epic proportions, and a little cousin who eyed him cautiously. Right now the little man is asleep on his grandmother’s chest, bonding. We’re all so thankful for how well she’s doing after a rough last month.
That’s all for now. Happy weekend!
So, whose blog is this, anyway? It's mine, and here are few tidbits about me: My name is Danica. Like the race car driver, whose name I know, but whose career I know nothing about. A Nascar fan I am not. Things like reading, playing piano, gardening, cooking, sewing, writing, and keeping my bathroom bleached are more up my alley.
