I’d love to start reading the Easter story to Jameson, but for SOME reason, finding books about Jesus rising from the dead is just not that easy. (Go to your independent bookstore and count how many references to Jesus you see in the Easter section. None? Really? Shocking.)
Anyway, does anyone have any children’s Easter books that they recommend? (children=toddlers!)
I am not sure if this is what you’re after, but it is a very simple, sweet book with a Christian theme. I tend to change some of the words (but keep the theme) for my family. Auntie Sarah gave it to us when Cam was a baby and we still enjoy it:
What is Easter? (it is a board book too!)
Here are the books I pull out every Easter. My parents got them a few years ago at the B&N in the Massena mall. They are very much toddler/preschool age level and all are board books.
http://www.parable.com/parable/item.Happy-Easter-Concordia-Publishing-House.9780758611048.htm – I love, love, love this book. The last line of the book is “I thank Him for sending Jesus, my Savior from sin.” It has a page about Easter eggs but nothing offensive.

http://www.amazon.com/My-Easter-Basket-True-Story/dp/0784713561 – Ends quoting Scripture, can’t go wrong there!
