romans 12

This little chunk from Romans 12 has been in my scripture memorization rotation for the last few months. Each time it comes up for review, I am challenged and inspired:

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord,
Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,
Contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

    Good, Good word. I memorized “abhor that which is evil and cling to that which is good” in Kindergarten (phonics program with a verse for each sound). That verse came to mind the other day and I could not remember where it was found (I was in the shower so no real easy way to look that up!). It got me thinking about how powerful having God’s word in my heart really is, kindergarten was a long time ago and still the verses I learned then impact me. I look forward to being able to share this with my son. Thanks for sharing the link to the memorization program you are using…looks interesting!
